RARE Vintage 50s JOTY Mermaid Mom Baby "Sailor Valentine" Wall Plaque Set

VM832 - This is a very rare set made by "Joty" back in the 50's and one of the most sought after sets by collectors. No breaks/chips/repairs to the pieces although some of the shells have chips as seen in the pictures.  The set includes the 8.5" tall mom, all 3 babies, and 3 bubbles.  The Joty sets can be identified by the shell/bead/rhinestone design that she did the same in every set she made... just made the sets in different colors! Another Joty trademark is the flower that was always put on the back of the mirror that one of the babies is holding. You often see people advertising mermaid sets as "Joty" just because there is a design on the tails....., but Joty had a unique design (like the one here) and it is very obvious when a set is Joty by the this design, the flower on the back of the mirror the baby is holding, and the way Joty did their eyes. This is not only a rare set because there were not many made, but it is a complete set with all 3 babies and bubbles in the desirable pink color and none of the pieces are broken!  Great condition seeing it's 70 years old!! This is definitely a mermaid set to prize and hand down for generations.
