  • Condition: This original, unrestored, complete Lobby Card set exhibits eerie rich darkish green colors throughout each Lobby Card with excellent details of 8 movie scenes on very clean backgrounds of all Lobby Cards. Lobby Card (LC) 1 has a faint stain at the top border right; 2 faint lines (looks like old tape mark) on the top border left; and tiny (1/16") mark on the bottom right above "63/238". LC 2 has 3 faint scraps (3" each) on the top right but the color remains and you have to view at an angle to see them. LC 3 has light browning along all of the borders. LCs 4, 5, and 6 have no visible flaws. LC 7 has a faint mark (1/16") on the bottom border above the last "n" in "connection". LC 8 has a 1" horizontal squiggly line on the bottom after "Panavision". Right near that the word "thereafter" in the NSS is slightly smudged. There are no pin holes, no tears, and no tape or tape residue. No soiling. There is no loss of paper or color. Medium gloss. Please review the photos carefully.

    This is the Original (1sh) 1963 Complete Lobby Card Set of
    THE HAUNTING
    .  They were used by
    MGM
    to promote this movie when it was released in 1963.  They are not reprints nor reproductions.    The movie stars
    Julie Harris, Claire Bloom, Richard Johnson, Russ Tamblyn
    , Lois Maxwell, Fay Compton, Rosalie Crutchley, Valentine Dyall, Diane Clare, and Ronald Adam. It was directed by Robert Wise.
    These unrestored movie Lobby Cards each measure 11" x 14".
    They are Flat and are on medium stock paper.
    This original, complete Lobby Card set is graded C8, Very Fine.
    Original movie Lobby Cards are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.   These Lobby Cards are immediately ready for framing and display.
    The few, minor flaws that exist are mostly along the borders of the Lobby Cards and they are not generally obtrusive.  The minor browning on the borders of the Lobby Card No. 3 is probably the most noticeable of the flaws.
    We believe that the original, complete 1963 Lobby Card set of

    has some investment value.   If you are a fan of this movie, as I am, every Lobby Card depicts a scene in the movie that you will remember.  No, this movie does not have modern day special effects, or explosions, or terrifying computer-generated monsters.  But for me, and I believe fans of this movie, it is just great.  A spooky, "yes "haunting" sci-fi/horror movie to watch late at night or on a stormy Saturday afternoon.  A movie that I love to watch.  And on a side note, one of the 4 main actors,
    Russ Tamblyn
    , is also from another favorite movie of mine,
    WEST SIDE STORY
    as leader of "THE JETS".
